Greetings!
Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me! As you can see in the photos above, I love adventure! As you may have learned during my in-class introduction, I enjoy documenting scientific phenomenon that I encounter while traveling, so that I may share it with my students! My goal is to teach students that science is EVERYWHERE and it's something we encounter EVERYDAY. With that said, everything we learn in science is essential to helping you learn about the world you live in! Cool, huh? Here's a little more about my background. I grew up in San Diego and went to San Diego State University. I have a Bachelors Degree in Biology and a Single Subject Teaching Credential in Science. I am currently attending Concordia University Irvine and working on a Masters Degree in Educational Technology. In the past I've taught High School and Middle School classes but I truly enjoy spending my time with awesome elementary students. Elementary kids are the best because they are curious, clever, daring, persistent, and innovative....sounds a lot like the characteristics of a scientist to me!! While I do have about 750 students, I am looking forward to learning a little about each of you as the year goes on! # ScienceRules |
